Level 1 Award & Certificate in Skills for Vocational Studies (Childcare) for Adults

This course is for adult students looking for an introduction into the early years & childcare industry. You'll receive regular reviews from your tutor, as well as help improving your digital skills. You'll also have the opportunity to visit relevant childcare businesses and employers.
Units may include:
- communicating with children and young people
- growth and development of young children
- craft activities with children and young people
- healthy eating for children
- intellectual and language development of children
- job opportunities in children’s and young people’s settings.
There are no formal requirements for this course. However, we would expect students to have or be working towards a Level 1 English qualification.
This qualification is portfolio based and there are no formal exams. Lessons are tutor led with assessments within the lesson. All students are taught in a supportive and inclusive environment.
You will be required to attend classes 2.5 days a week, term time only.
You could go on to study a Level 2 NCFE Certificate in Working with Children in Early Years & Primary Setting.
