This course follows on from the Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology. The programme has been designed to provide a strong foundation for potential progression to university and many students go on to gain exciting careers within the media industry. It is a highly practical and dynamic creative video/media production course, which will equip you with a range of filmmaking skills whilst nurturing your artistic talent.

Units of study on the Diploma include the following: 

  • Engaging with an audience in creative media production 
  • Prepating for progression in creative media production
  • Specialist study in creative media production 
  • Extended project in creative media production

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English.

The programme is full time and you will be in College approximately four days a week. 

You will be assessed through a variety of different methods and complete a final major project. The course features ongoing assessment throughout the year.  

School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies. If you’re aged 19 or over you might qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply for and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £25,000. If you are studying a part-time course and you receive one of the following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does, you may be entitled to have your tuition fees waived: Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support. You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees (unless you are on a first full level 2 course). * If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit or receive other allowances, you may be eligible to claim concessionary rates. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement. It is essential that you inform us if your entitlement changes at any time during your course.

This course was developed by the University of the Arts London (currently the worlds top 2 university for art and design, according to the QS World University Rankings and is Europe's largest specialist university for art and design). 

If you are considering university then this qualification is recognised as fulfilling entry requirements to a range of higher education courses at institutions including: Arts University Bournemouth, University for the Creative Arts, Leeds College of Art and the University of Portsmouth. 

If you are considering employment or apprenticeships, then this Level 3 course puts you in an excellent position to apply for media-based roles across a huge range of institutions and organisations.

Studying this course may lead to future employment in the following roles: television, film, advertising, radio, public relations, digital media or social media content management.
