A Level Psychology

A Level Psychology is for you if you’re interested in people and the reasons behind their behaviours. Psychology offers an academic approach, looking at the research of psychologists and offering the chance to conduct your own studies. You will develop transferable skills, such as strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to use evidence and logic to construct an effective argument.

You’ll cover the social, cognitive, learning and biological explanations of behaviours, mental health and addiction, the methods used to investigate human behaviours, and analyse bigger themes, such as nature versus nurture.

Volunteering or a work experience placement is a positive addition to your CV. You could also undertake an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) which allows you to pursue your own research topic.
