Your qualification

Your study programme includes the qualification you are studying towards in your chosen subject, e.g. A Levels, T Level, Level 2 or Level 3 Certificates and Diplomas.

Maths & English

Maths and English skills are important to employers and may also be a key requirement if you want to progress on to other courses after college or university. Achieving grade 9–4 in both subjects at GCSE is highly recommended and often leads to higher earnings in the future. However, if you do not achieve these grades at school, you will work towards them alongside your core qualification. Our maths and English team offer comprehensive exam and study support, giving you the very best chance to succeed.

Work experience

Vocationally relevant and high-quality work placements are an integral part of your study programme and allow you to develop many of the skills needed to thrive in the modern workplace. Students at every level are given the opportunity to complete work experience during their course, with some Level 3 vocational students undertaking 45- day industry placements.

To ensure you get the most out of your time at college, we offer a range of activities and initiatives for you to get involved in. These activities are known as ‘E6 enrichment’ and they provide excellent opportunities to make new friends, learn new skills, help others, improve your health and wellbeing and boost your CV/university application.

If you have any questions about your career, university application or the qualifications you need to achieve your goals, our expert careers team is here for you. Employability skills

Employability skills are embedded into your study programme at every level helping you prepare for your chosen career.
