Entry requirements

Entry Level

No formal entry requirements apart from an interest and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study.

Level 1

• 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or above including maths and English
• or an Entry Level qualification with maths and English (at least at Entry Level 3)
• interest, skill and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study.

Level 2

• 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including maths and English
• or a Level 1 qualification at merit grade or with tutor recommendation
• maths and English (at least at Level 1)
• for some technical subjects you will need to start at Level 1.

Level 3 Vocational

• 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including maths and English
• or a Level 2 qualification at merit grade or above with tutor recommendation
• maths and English at Level 2.

Level 3 A Level

• 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above including maths and English
• or a Level 2 qualification at merit grade or above with tutor recommendation
• maths and English at Level 2.

Level 4

• a Level 3 qualification with a sufficient pass/merit profile
• plus a Level 2 in maths and English
• typical offer for applicants is 80-120 UCAS tariff points.
