Enrolment for full time courses
We know that summer is here and you'll be out enjoying your time, but it's essential you attend your appointment in person. You're a one-off and it will be time well spent!
Welcome to COPC
Welcome everyone!
After a fun summer break, we’re so excited to welcome you to City of Portsmouth College for the 2025/26 academic year.
Many of you will be new students, and we hope you have an incredible time here with us. We’re eager to see what you can do. Some of you will be returning students, and we hope you are all looking forward to another year of learning and experiences.
Enrolment is a busy time at the College and there is a lot to remember, so bookmark this page as it has all the information you need as you begin or continue on your COPC journey.
See you on Campus!

The enrolment process
Enrolment kicks off on Friday 22 August and runs until Wednesday 3 September.
By now you should have received your personal enrolment appointment via email and had the opportunity to reschedule this if the time/date was unsuitable.
Please make every effort to attend your appointment on time, as this is the final and most important step before you start at college!
Enrolment passport
Once you arrive for your enrolment appointment, you will be given an enrolment passport, designed to make the enrolment process as smooth and structured as possible, allowing you to visit all the necessary checkpoints and complete all tasks required before you begin with us!
Please make sure you read the passport carefully and follow the order of checkpoints. Our staff (in yellow T shirts) will be on hand to help if you need it.
Don't forget, we will be taking your photo for your student ID, so arrive photo-ready!

Your GCSE results
Receiving your GCSE results can be an overwhelming time seeing all your hard work categorised into a set of grades on paper.
Sometimes your grades far exceed your expectations and you will be so pleased at the outcome, and other times they don't quite hit the mark, and you can feel disappointed and unsure of what to do next.
Enrolment is different for everyone, depending on your pathway to College, and we are here to help no matter your results. You may even be wondering if you should still attend your appointment if you grades are different to what was expected, or you may have changed your mind on your course.
Click the scenario that best matches your situation below and let's get your next steps sorted!

Frequently asked questions
Invitations were sent by email in the second week of July. If you didn't see your email come through, please make sure you check your junk/spam folders before getting in touch. You can email enrolments@copc.ac.uk if you still need to organise an appointment date/time.
You must bring:
- your enrolment invitation
- any exam results or certificates you've already received. It's particularly important you bring proof of your maths and English results
- formal ID which could be passport, driving licence, birth certificate or bank card.
Some courses, like health and childcare, require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We will need to see additional documents for these, such as proof of current address (in an official letter no older than three months). You'll receive more details in a separate DBS letter if this applies to you.
Enrolment passports are brand new for 2025! There is a passport unique to each campus and you will receive yours when you arrive for your enrolment appointment.
Each stage of your enrolment is broken down into numbered stations which you need to complete and receive a stamp for. These include an interview (if required) a photograph for your student ID, activating your College IT account etc. You will follow the arrows and complete each stage before officially becoming a COPC student!
You'll be introduced to tutors from your chosen course, as well as a member of our Enrolment Team, who will help you complete the final steps to becoming a student.
You'll also meet the Student Experience Team, who are mines of information on finance, careers advice, health and wellbeing, tutorials, safeguarding and enrichment activities. Our specialist SEND team will also be on hand if you need any additional support to help in your move to College.
Because we know that everyone is different, with unique needs, please allow from one to two hours. To get to know you best, all appointments take place face to face at your chosen College campus (unless otherwise specified).
Of course! You're more than welcome to bring someone along for moral or practical support. To help keep numbers manageable during our busiest time of year though, we'd be really grateful if you'd only bring one other person.
First things first, don't panic! If you are able to, come along to our GCSE Advice Hub being held at our Sixth Form Campus between 12-2pm on Results Day. We will have members of our friendly Careers Team on hand to discuss your options and work out a plan of action.
Alternatively, email our team directly at careers@copc.ac.uk and they will be in touch with you. The most important thing to remember is to please still attend your enrolment appointment, there will be many staff on hand to help with your results and if any changes are needed for your planned course of study.
That's ok - please try to come along to our GCSE Advice Hub which is being held at our Sixth Form Campus between 12-2pm on Results Day (Thursday 21).
If you can't make it to the session, please email the team at careers@copc.ac.uk or call the main College reception and ask for careers 02392 383131. They can then give you some advice about alternative courses available to you and how we can switch your course. Please ensure you still attend your enrolment appointment as planned, and the team will take care of the rest.
You will have your photograph taken for your student ID as part of your enrolment appointment and this will be one of the checkpoints on your passport. You will then collect your ID at the end of your appointment and can take it home with you.
Please remember you will need to wear your ID badge every day you are in College. If you forget this, you will need to speak with reception and potentially go home to get it!
If you are unable to attend the provided enrolment appointment, please use the following links to reschedule. Please only do this if absolutely necessary, to ease the pressure on our scheduling team.
We definitely can! Please ask them to contact us on 02392 383131 or email info@copc.ac.uk and our expert teams will find the right direction for them.
They can also come along to the campus that offers a subject they are interested in during enrolment, which takes place from 22 August to 3 September. They can apply for a course on the day in our dedicated Admissions Zone!
No, sorry! There's no-one quite like you so you must attend in person as you'll need to sign paperwork and have an ID photo taken.
If you are a new student enrolling at North Harbour or Highbury Campus, you will be notified about how to access your timetable by your enrolment lecturer.
If you are a new student at Sixth Form Campus, you can access your timetable via OnTrack from 4pm on Tuesday 9 September.
If you are a returning student at Highbury or North Harbour Campus, you will be sent an email to both your student and personal email addresses with information about your new timetable.
If you are a returning student at our Sixth Form Campus and have not been sent an enrolment appointment, you should have received an email from us about attending a Returning Induction Day on Wednesday 10 September at 9.40am. Please check OnTrack from 4pm on Tuesday 9 September to access an up-to-date version of your timetable.
If you do not have a timetabled lesson on Wednesday afternoon, you will not need to remain on campus after the Induction Day.
