Units may include:
- plumbing
- plastering

You'll also gain customer service skills as you learn to meet the needs of a range of clients, from individuals through to large organisations.
To be accepted onto this apprenticeship programme, you will need both maths and English at grade 2 or above, or Functional Skills Level 1.
You will be required to attend College at our North Harbour Campus. College attendance is one day per week.
It is a government requirement for you to spend a minimum of six hours per week of your apprenticeship working towards your off-the-job learning which can consist of College attendance, homework/coursework, project related work, employer training, mentoring and coaching, plus other tasks.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will need to gather work-based evidence and submit this to your e-portfolio system, Onefile. Your evidence will then be assessed by your lecturer and feedback will be provided.
You'll need to take ownership of your own learning by seeking out opportunities to gain new skills on the job with your employer. Learning in College will be delivered through a mixture of practical delivery and application, and theoretical knowledge, which will help build your knowledge, skills and behaviours. You will also be required to complete independent study and research.
Your final grade will be determined in an endpoint assessment, by a collective performance in three areas:
- online knowledge test
- practical skills test
- professional discussion (to demonstrate that you can apply the broad range of knowledge, skills and behaviours expected in the Apprenticeship Standard).
This apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level course or apprenticeship within the property industry or progression within the property maintenance industry.
