COPC students learn more about careers in construction

City of Portsmouth College hosted its annual construction careers fair last week with more than a dozen local businesses taking part.

At a busy North Harbour Campus, students were able to find out more about the various career paths they could take, thanks to informative stands and helpful company representatives who were on hand to answer all manner of questions.

Companies who took part included: PETA, Ward and Burke, Future Water, Colas, Currie & Brown UK, Comserv UK, Danston , DM Habens The Builder, Mountjoy, Morgan Sindall Construction, Blanchard Wells, John Reilly Civil Engineering, Hi Tech Property Services and RAR UK Automation.

Stephanie Whitecross, Careers Lead at COPC, said: “It was a great event, lots of students from all levels took part – and the employers were happy and got lots of CV, so very positive.”
