This level 3 certificate in Understanding Autism will allow you to develop an understanding of autism in its many forms. You will learn how to adopt a positive approach to supporting individuals with autism and the different theories behind these approaches.
You will be required to successfully complete 5 mandatory units:
- the diagnosis and management of autism
- best practice in the context of autism
- legislation, guidance, information and support relevant to autism
- autism and behaviour
- living with autism in society.
Level 1 in English. You may find it helpful if you have already achieved a Level 2 qualification.
This qualification is online only so you can study it at your own pace in your own workspace.
This is a distance learning course, with 160 guided hours. Assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles. All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass.
Progression into relevant employment within the health and social care sector.
