Designed to increase learners’ knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental well-being, this course will enable you to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of mental health. It will also support learner progression into relevant employment within the health and social care sector.
There are five mandatory units:
- understanding the context of mental health and wellbeing
- promotion of mental health and wellbeing
- mental health problems: associated issues and consequences
- understanding mental ill health
- working in mental health.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however, you may find it helpful if you’ve already achieved a Level 2 mental health qualification, or qualifications in healthcare or social care contexts.
This qualification is online only so you can study it at your own pace in your own workspace.
This is a distance learning course, with 153 guided hours. Assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles. All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass.
