This one-day initial MET1 course at City of Portsmouth College is for Category 1 qualified gas engineers who wish to extend their skills and add gas meters up to U16 / G10 to their existing CCN1 qualification.
If that's you, then you need to have been qualified as a gas engineer for a minimum of 12 months before being able to undertake this course.
The course covers the installation, exchange, removal, purging of gas meters up to U16 / G10.
Candidates must be a Category 1 gas engineer with CCN1 and a minimum of 12 months' experience.
This is a one-day course that covers both training and assessment.
Assessed through BPEC by multiple choice exam and practical assessment to national standards.
You will be awarded a BPEC MET1 certificate, allowing you to apply to the Gas Safe Register to work on gas meters up to U16 / G10.
