A college tutor supporting an adult learner during a gas training session, reviewing paperwork together at a workbench with gas equipment. The ACS Gas CCN1 and appliances reassessment (with refresher training), course covers all elements required for a gas engineer to renew their ACS qualification and therefore apply to remain Gas Safe registered. Course covers the Gas safety, installation, commissioning and servicing of appliances: • Gas Safety regulations, Building Regulations, British Standards, IGEM standards. • Unsafe situations procedures • Gas Pipework • Tightness testing and purging of LP/MP installations • Regulators • Burner pressures / Gas rates / combustion testing • Flues and ventilation • Gas controls Includes the following appliances: CENWAT - Boilers / water heaters CKR1 - Cookers / hobs / ranges HTR1 - Gas fires / wall heaters DAH1 - Domestic air heaters (warm air)

This course is for Category 1 experienced and qualified gas engineers who need to renew their CCN1. If certification expired more than 12 months ago, then the engineer will need to sit the initial assessment route. Candidates can renew up to 6 months in advance without losing any time on their current certificate.

The college run the ACS CCN1 reassessment course at least 3 times a month. The courses start on a Monday and experienced engineers comfortably complete the course in 3 or 4 days.

The CCN1 ACS Gas reassessement is assessed through BPEC in line with all current industry standards. Assessments are both written and practical.

Once completed the candidate renews their current ACS CCN1 qualification for a further 5 years and can continue to apply for Gas Safe Registration.

Fees for this course must be paid in full.
