This course aims to provide you with the basic knowledge needed by employees to work in a range of different work environments in a business administration role. This qualification will help you develop essential knowledge of how to carry out administrative tasks, such as how to manage information, how to support events and how to apply your knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles.
Units may include:
- principles of providing administrative services
- principles of business document production and information management
- understand employer organisations
- principles of communication in a business environment
- principles of developing working relationships with colleagues.
Students are expected to have at least a Level 1 qualification in English, which will be assessed before starting this course.
This qualification is online only so you can study at your own pace, in your own workspace. This qualification includes 170 guided learning hours.
This is a distance learning course. Assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles. All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass.
After successfully completing this course, you could go on to study a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration or a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.

League triumph for Pan Disability football team
Cheers all round for our Pan Disability football team which has won the 2024-25 Portsmouth Inclusion League. The team, COPC Prem, topped the table with 32 points, having won ten of their 12 league games. The team comprises players of mixed abilities and experience – some in their third season with the club, and some making their league debut.
