This course is for you, if you have already completed the Level 1 Diploma in Plastering and are looking to consolidate your knowledge.
Units include:
- applying plaster materials to external surfaces
- how to fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors
- lay and finish floor screeds
- skim coat plastering.
During the course, you will complete a minimum of 30 hours of on-the-job experience within the industry. You will also have the opportunity to work on many live projects including various community projects and benefit from site visits, industry talks and demonstrations from experts.
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including maths and English, plus a Level 1 Diploma in Plastering. Those with prior industry experience will also be considered.
Attendance is two to three days a week, typically from 9.00am to 4.30pm. A high level of attendance is essential for successful achievement.
You will complete a variety of practical assignments and in class assessments. You will also complete two online exams. You will be logging your learning journey in a diploma portfolio folder.
You may have the opportunity to progress to further study. Alternatively, you could take up an apprenticeship standard or seek employment.
