As German is a major language of international communication, proficiency is essential for anyone considering a career in any global or European organisation. On this course, you’ll develop your skills in spoken and written German, gain translation skills, study modern literary texts and films, and learn about Germany’s political and artistic culture.

As well as being considered a facilitating subject, highly valued by universities, German is also an excellent language to learn as Germany has the biggest economy in Europe and the fourth largest worldwide. It's also the fifth largest internet domain in the world, with 5.8 per cent of all websites written in German.
