This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of information, advice or guidance and how these are applied in their own context. This course supports roles where you may give initial information, advice or guidance to others.
Units may include:
- understand information, advice and guidance practice
- understand the interaction skills required for information, advice or guidance
- understanding signposting and referral in information, advice or guidance
- understand the practice of benefits advice work
- understand refugee, immigrant or asylum seeker advice work in practice.
Students are expected to have at least a Level 1 qualification in English, which will be assessed before starting this course.
This qualification is online only so you can study at your own pace, in your own workspace. This qualification includes 114 guided learning hours.
This is a distance learning course. Assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles. All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass.
After successfully completing this course, you could progress on to other qualifications such as:
- Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2/3 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service
- Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service
- Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills
- Level 3 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance.
