City Creatives 2023: for 19+ learners
This art & design programme is offered by the City of Portsmouth College and UCA Farnham and is aimed at 19+ learners without a Level 4 qualification (A Level or BTEC/CTEC National) who want to make and create a portfolio of work suitable for personal use or an interview-job training opportunity.
This course starts with the basics, paper-making and how to make your own sketchbook using binding and decorative covers.
You will be shown how to use specialist media and materials such as etching, silkscreen printing, photograms and cyanotype photography, clay-tile production and decoration; then the mounting and presentation of artwork in a portfolio and for exhibition.
It's free of charge, with all materials and media provided for students and funded by the University for the Creative Arts (UCA).

- Session 6: Thursday 13 July (10am-12.30pm)
Students will be able to take away a portfolio of art & design work and a certificate of attendance from City of Portsmouth College (COPC) and UCA.
We ask that all applicants confirm that they can attend and complete all six sessions before they apply, students can be in part time paid work, unemployed, volunteering or seeking employment. For universal credit purposes, this course qualifies as training and should not affect any benefit payments for those attending.
