City of Portsmouth College’s talented Performing Arts students are in final rehearsals for an original play which is to be performed at New Theatre Royal early next month.

Pinnacle, which takes place on 9 June at 6.30pm, is a show of song and story, shining a light on extraordinary women who should never be forgotten.

The synopsis outlines how a renowned male artist, Adrian, is asked what he thinks it means to be a woman by his assistant Maya.

Maya then takes Adrian, and the audience, through stories of women who have made powerful impacts in the world, trying to get him to understand what it is to be a woman; to overcome the hurdles and labels dictated by society. From Anne Lister to Ellen MacArthur to Emma Watson, these women have broken through barriers and fought for causes they live for.

You can book tickets here, priced from £5 to £15 – https://www.newtheatreroyal.com/whats-on/pinnacle/
