Dynamic duo hit the airwaves for City of Portsmouth College

City of Portsmouth College Foundation Prospects students crashed the party of the Express FM Breakfast Show this week for a takeover the morning commute.

Daniel Runham and James Rogers were the guest stars with presenter Ian James for a full hour, talking about their College studies, their flashmob appearance and their favourite songs. Daniel had the DJ play Golden by K-Pop Demon Hunters, while James picked The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights.

Sarah Hume, SEND Transitional Coach, accompanied Daniel and James on their special morning out, and said: “I’m so proud of both Daniel and James for their appearance on the radio – they are absolute naturals, and I think are well on their way to achieving their dream of being famous! Huge thanks to Ian and the team at Express FM for making us so welcome and providing this opportunity for our students. We’re excited to plan our next visit.”

The pair were invited on after Daniel had made a guest appearance the week before to promote the Portsmouth 100 Flashmob and the upcoming SENtury Festival, and impressed the Express FM team with his radio skills.

It’s hoped more of our SEND students will be able to take part in future appearances.
