or learners working at pre-entry level, specifically those with severe learning difficulties and disabilities, and offers progression to those who are able.
Course includes:
- personal development
- accessing the community
- health and hygiene
- tutorial and targets
This qualification is based on individual progression points, creating a bespoke course around EHCP and individual targets.
No formal entry requirements are required, although the majority of students progress from Life Skills 1.
The course is run across three and a half days per week.
You will be assessed through a variety of ways (activity, group work, photographic and video), which will be presented through a portfolio of evidence.
All of our programmes are planned around your individual learning needs, with a timetable that clearly identifies the sessions that will be taught. You will be assigned a Programme Lead who will support you throughout your time in College. Teaching, coaching and learning support staff will work closely with you and your parents/carers to help you achieve planned learning goals.
The majority of students progress to Lifeskills 3 or SAIL Entry 1. There are other entry courses that may suit the invdividual.
We work hard to keep our course information up to date. Occasionally we may make small changes to course content, start dates, locations or fees to keep our courses current and relevant. If anything important changes after you apply, we’ll always let you know.
