The Level 3 VTCT Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments is a course that has been specifically designed to develop your practical beauty therapy skills, such as face and body electrotherapy, and body massage.
To further enhance your practical skills, you will have the opportunity to choose from a range of practical units, including electrical epilation, intimate waxing, spray tan and applying self-tan products, nail enhancements, individual permanent lashes and massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils.
Within this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care, and communication and you can also choose to learn about IT and data handling and how these contribute to the effective running of a beauty therapy business.
You will require a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths and English. You will also need to hold a Level 2 in Beauty to join this course.
The course is full-time, roughly 15 hours per week, over one year. A minimum of 90% attendance, which includes maths and English classes must be achieved to ensure success on the course.
Our salons are run as commercial businesses to improve your employability skills, and some sessions will run into the evening.
Throughout the course, you will be assessed regularly against the standards set by the examining body. These assessments will be pre-arranged. You will be given written assignments to complete throughout the programme, as well as online exams. Practical assessments will take place in our commercial salons.
This qualification may lead directly into employment in the beauty industry as a senior therapist, a salon manager, or to work as an independent therapist. You can also progress onto higher level beauty qualifications.
