City of Portsmouth College's two-day Natural Gas to LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) changeover course (CONGLP1) is for Category one qualified gas engineers who want to add LPG to their existing ACS CCN1 certificate.

This includes PD (Permanent Dwellings), RPH (Residential Park Homes), LAV (Leisure Activity Vehicles). LPG Boats is an additional course. Your training and assessments cover: 

  • Gas safety regulations, building regulations, British standards. IGEM & LPG standards
  • LPG unsafe situations, pipework, tightness testing and purging, regulators.

Please note: You must have been a qualified gas engineer for a minimum of 12 months to undertake this course.

Candidates must be a Category 1 gas engineer with CCN1 and a minimum of 12 months' experience.

This course is across two days, incorporating training and assessment

You'll be assessed through BPEC by multiple choice exam and practical assessment to national standards.

You will be awarded a BPEC LPG certificate, allowing you to apply to the Gas Safe Register to work on domestic LPG installations.

Fees for this course must be paid in full.
